Lesbian History Zine
Typography | Layout | Image Making
This zine is a dedication to lesbian history in the United States, inspired by the identity that myself and others close to me live by. It was meaningful to me that I could create a project like this in a school setting and share a history that often gets left behind. The publication includes twenty spreads with three AR animations hidden inside. I developed a style of image making and type pairing to apply to each spread, with a color palette matching the lesbian pride flag.
Foldout Spreads
To add a new dimension to my zine, I included foldout pages with full-bleed images that span across both pages, split along the binding in a meaningful way. This allowed me to showcase specific images more prominently while also incorporating relevant content on the inside of the foldout. I felt that the use of foldout pages added depth and interest to the zine, making it a more engaging and impactful publication.
